Mechthild Scheffer
 

Mechthild Scheffer is an internationally known pioneer in the Original Bach Flower Therapy and author of the standard texts that introduced the work of Dr. Edward Bach to the German speaking countries. Since 1981, she has gathered, integrated and continually enlarged on this work. Mechthild Scheffer represented the Dr. Edward Bach Centre (England) in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for more than 20 years.

Today Mechthild Scheffer is a widely acknowledged expert in Bach Flower Therapy and the founder of the “Institute für Bach-Blütentherapie, Forschung und Lehre” in Hamburg, Vienna and Zürich. The training program in the Original Bach Flower Therapy that she created in 1982 has been under continuous development since then and has already been completed by several thousand practitioners as well as those who use it for themselves. Mechthild Scheffer’s books represent her experience from the past 30 years. They are the basic German language texts on Bach Fower Therapy and have also been translated into many other languages.

Today the main focus of Mechthild Scheffer’s activities is on the fostering, cultivation, maintenance and dissemination of the authentic form of Bach Flower Therapy. Currently she is also working on the integration of Original Bach Flower Therapy with the future-oriented concepts of “salutogenesis” and psychosocial healthcare.
